“There have been times that I’ve had to leave everything I’ve ever known because my heart was in a different place, and although I couldn’t explain it, I trusted myself enough to follow it”Dane Thomas
“Love will pass you by if you always choose the safe path”Martin Kipp
When we come to a crossroad or impasse in our friendships, romantic relationships, jobs, and other commitments and goals we have attached ourselves to, we must make a decision. Hold on or let go? Leave or stay? Stick it out, or cut your losses and move on?
Sometimes it’s a no brainer and you can easily say, “F**k this, I’m out!
“Sometimes there is love in leaving”Upile Chisala
Other times, it’s not so easy. And there can be a lot of turmoil involved in making the right decision. There are a lot of questions, unknown factors and “what if’s” to consider.
You may reach out to those closest to you for their opinion. You may contact your pastor, therapist or other spiritual guide for insight. You may pray and seek God for his direction. Or you may seek the counsel of your ancestral spirit guides. All the advice, guidance and counsel you’ve been given is from trusted sources. But if I may, I’d like to offer one last piece of advice; follow your heart.
I know that sounds so cliche! But you should ALWAYS follow your deepest truth. Listen to what your intuition says and don’t second guess it. We’ve been taught to trust any and everything outside of ourselves when it comes to what’s best for us. Your belief and trust in yourself must be unshakeable. It must be the lasting and abiding source of everything you need to make the right decision. You know what to do. You just don’t trust yourself. You know what your heart says and wants, but you’re afraid to make the wrong decision. Let me be the first to tell you, when you live from your heart, honor your deepest truth, trust your intuition, and have self-belief you can never be wrong.
If you want to leave, leave. If you want to stay, stay. Just make sure that whatever you do is what you want to do at the soul level. What is that heart of yours saying? That’s the only voice that matters.
“The reason you have a hard time trusting your intuition is because you are still convinced that some outside authority knows better than you “Maryam Hasnaa
